Smichas Chover Program. Join an interesting in depth halacha shiur given by Rabbi Betzalel Bassman. The classes take place Tuesday nights From 8:00 pm - 9:15 pm in Lubavitch Center, followed by maariv, and are divided into two annual semesters of six months each. Take a test at the end of the semester and receive a Smichas Chover certificate from leading rabbonim. Endorsed by the leading Chabad rabbonim and the Orthodox Union, Smichas Chover Program, is a practical in depth course in Hilchos Muktzah, with Power Point slideshows and printouts.

The curriculum starts with the Talmud and the Shulchan Aruch of the Alter Rebbe and follows the chain of the halacha to the contemporary Poskim. The topics that will be covered over the next 6 months (20 classes) are Melaben (cleaning), Bone Bekeilim (opening packages), Borer (sorting), and Sechita (squeezing).
